Now for the really exciting part. Since it hasn't been made yet, you need to get good at describing your invention for people. How does it work? What is it made of? How would you make it? Why do we need it?

Try this tip recommended by 10 out of 10 inventors- Keep a Log! Every time you work on an invention, write down (or type) what you did. Keep track of your thoughts, trials, errors and successes. You never know what might be important later.
